a simple kitchen counter organizer used to take away the stress of nascent cooking

Meet Eric…

…Eric spends most of his time in the kitchen, pursuing his passion of cooking. However, he finds himself rather unorganized from time to time, which disrupts his flow. What he needs to solve this is a small storage unit for his kitchen that can solve his every problem

This design should:

Allow storage of simple kitchen items, like bread, utensils, spices

Make for quick, easy access to said items, which saves time between cooking

Be relatively small in size, still saving counter space for other utilities

SKETCHING

The intention of this project is to have a box with a sliding door attached to a drawer, so that the box opens as the drawer does.

3D MODELING

This is a sketch layout of different orthographic / isometric views of the box, to better understand dimensions and interiors.

Plywood boards are glued together to create half-inch pieces from originally quarter inch boards. The parts are then cut out on a router, in order to allow for accurate, precise cuts that allow for snug assembly.
